Happy Halloween!
Before the pandemic, Halloween always gave Station10 a reason to come together for jokes, laughter and games. This would always lift our ‘spirits’ in the middle of the day – historically this has included decorating the office, cake, pumpkin carving and quizzes to name but a few.
The safety of everyone in the company is paramount to Station10 so, given the current climate, the usual festivities are having to take a back seat this year. However, that does not mean the ‘skele-fun’ has to stop – we will be allowing Halloween to ‘creep’ in virtually throughout Friday 30th October.
To kick the day off with a ‘fang’, we will all join a fancy dress Zoom call to start the day with laughter and fun. Note: Fancy dress is encouraged to be kept on all day, so please request videos to be on if you have calls with members of the team on Friday! During the day, we will also encourage people to post creepy stories via the anonymous slack channel to ensure work isn’t the only thing making us ‘shudder’.
Pumpkin carving is one of our favourite Station10 Halloween traditions; to keep this alive, those who have carved pumpkins are sending the social team pictures of their ‘creep-ations’ which will be anonymised and shared so we can all can vote for our ‘Pump-King’
We will finish slightly early and announce the winners and prizes for the fancy dress and pumpkin carving awards. We will then end the day with some fun via a quiz, scavenger hunt and games – there may even be a special guest telling us a particularly scary story!
We hope these activities will help bring us all together as ‘#SquadGhouls’ and that we surprise each other with ‘tricks’ & ‘treats’ throughout the day! We will be posting some pictures on our socials, so check them out…. if you dare!
Stay safe and have a ‘fangtastic’ Halloween!
